Even Now

After all the times that we have had,
i find it hard to say goodbye.
it seems like only yesterday,
so young and naive,
we didn't even think to treasure
every moment we had together.
now on different paths we go,
to where i'm sure nobody knows,
so much turmoil left to be thrown in our way,
it leaves very little time to play.
i wish sometimes time had a remote
push reverse
return to innocence.
i don't want to say goodbye,
i'll miss you so,
so much you could never know.
why does time have to fly?
why not swim, or walk really slow?
goodbye to you,
my friends,
my class,
i miss you now,
and always will.
remember me, as i remember you,
especially the two,
with you these past years really flew.
i miss you now,
even though i look at your face,
and in it i see a new, exciting place.
maybe its right,
that we say goodbye?
not forever,
never forever,
but for a moment.
to see what it's like?
