The Turtle's Dance

The surface ripples with pools of moonlight,
where down below
the water binds the night.
A seagull cries up above-
and tells the tale,
of a love that endures beneath the bird's flight.

On a journey to find a home,
they would dance among the fish.
Moving slowly,
gracefully,
gently,
around the reefs and anenomes.

Their love was so great,
and so blinding,
they did not see the storm was coming.

The sea's furry was harsh that night,
the wave's crash, had blinding might.
The two were seperate,
though both survived.
And searched the ocean,
for their lover's face.

The seagull cries,
searching for some food.
Unaware that down below,
a tale was spun,
finally coming to an end.

Two sea turtles meant to be,
missing each other,
desperately.
The story goes they searched, and searched,
and one day found their other half.

What a day,
the sea proclaimed,
for two lovers to be joined.
And all was still,
as they swam their dance.
Embracing, journeying,
to find a home-
beside the one they loved.
